Up To Third Quarter 2008 Result (9 Month 2008)

Business Highlights

  • Net Income increased by 41.4% year-on-year amounting to Rp1,799 billion or equivalent to EPS of Rp 303 (full amount).
  • Semen Gresik’s total sales volume in 9M08 reached 13.17 million tons of ement or an increase of 4.4% year-on-year.
  • Domestic sales volume posted 12.37 million tons of cement or an increase of 10.0% year-on-year. Domestic sales accounts for 93.92% of total sales.
  • Semen Gresik, Semen Padang and Semen Tonasa each contributed 53.05%, 31.65% and 17.62% to consolidated net revenues.
  • Production cost per tons in 9M08 increased by 14% higher than that in 9M07 mainly caused by an increase of energy cost, packaging, and transportation cost.
  • Ebitda increased by 34.5% amounting to Rp2,775 billion year-on-year.
  • As of 30 September 2008, the Company’s LT Liabilities amount to Rp84 billion, with debt-to equity ratio decreased to 1.11% from 1.92% in 2007.

First Half 2008 Result

Business Highlights

  • Net Income increase by 62.7% y-o-y amounting to Rp 1,139 billion or equivalent to EPS of Rp 192 (full amount).
  • Semen Gresik's total sales volume in 1H-08 reached 8.90 million tons of cement or increase of 12.0% year-on-year.
  • Domestic Sales volume was 8.32 million tons of cement an increase of 16.8& year-on-year. Domestic sales accounts for 93.50& of total sales.
  • Semen Gersik, Semen Padang and Semen Tonasa each contributed 51%, 32% and 19% to consolidated net revenues.
  • Production cost per tons in 1Q-2008 was increase 9.5% highr than that in 1Q-2007 as part of management's efforts in cost efficiencies.
  • Ebitda encrease by 53.6% amounting to Rp 1,780 billion year-on-year.
  • As of 30 June 2008, the Company's LT Liabilities amount to Rp 92.6 billion, with debt-to equity ratio decreased to 28.1% from 41.7% in 2007.

2007 Annual Report : Winning Strategy

The Company has been successful in improving the net income and EBITDA during the year 2007 while retaining its market share dominance in Indonesia at 44.4%. The achievement is attributable to the implementation of Revenue Management, Cost Management, Capacity Management and Increasing Competitive Advantage.
